Anlässlich des Lichtkunst Festivals in Murten zeigt Philipp Geist eine LichtRaum-Installation im Musée de Morat / Museum Murten. Geist entwickelt eine poetische, malerische Raum-Installation aus Origami-Papierfaltungen, wie z.B. Papier-Kraniche, und in den Raum projizierte, abstrakt-malerischen Bildkompositionen. Daraus entsteht ein Zusammenspiel zwischen den geometrischen Formen der japanischen Origami-Faltungen und den fließendenden, abstrahierten digitalen Farben und Formen der Projektion. Die Schatten von Origami und die Projektionen zeichnen sich auf den verschiedenen Wänden ab. Ein Raum aus Licht, Farbe, Formen und Papierobjekten wird begehbar, und die Besucher können in der Farbe und den Strukturen der Projektionen versinken. Die Arbeiten sind ständig in Veränderung. Geometrische, räumliche Formen wie Quadrate, Kuben, durchbrochene Flächen, Linien und Strahlen überlagern sich in einem kontinuierlichen Prozess, bauen ein Gesamtbild auf, um dieses im nächsten Moment wieder aufzulösen. So entsteht eine komplexe Bildarchitektur, die ständig im Fluss ist. Geist zeigt minimal-puristische, teils farbintensive, traumartige und schemenhaft-zerbrechliche Bildkompositionen. Philipp Geist arbeitet weltweit als Künstler mit den Medien Projection Mapping/ Lichtinstallation, Fotografie und Malerei. Geists Projekte sind in erster Linie gekennzeichnet durch ihre Komplexität der Integration von Raum, Ton und Bewegbild.

On the occasion of the light art festival in Murten, Philipp Geist is showing a LichtRaum installation in the Musée de Morat / Museum Murten. Geist develops a poetic, painterly space installation from origami paper folds, such as paper cranes, and abstractly painterly image compositions projected into the room. This creates an interplay between the geometric shapes of the Japanese origami folds and the flowing, abstract digital colors and shapes of the projection. The shadows of origami and the projections stand out on the various walls. A room made of light, color, shapes and paper objects becomes accessible, and visitors can sink into the color and structures of the projections. The work is constantly changing. Geometric, spatial forms such as squares, cubes, openwork areas, lines and rays overlap in a continuous process, building up an overall picture, only to dissolve it in the next moment. This creates a complex visual architecture that is constantly in flux. Geist shows minimally puristic, sometimes color-intensive, dream-like and shadowy-fragile picture compositions. Philipp Geist works worldwide as an artist with the media projection mapping / light installation, photography and painting. Geist's projects are primarily characterized by the complexity of integrating space, sound and moving images.
